New York State residents trash over 1.4 Billion Pounds of clothes and textiles annually, with a market value exceeding $200 million, plus another $36 million in costs to dispose of these recoverable materials. When you donate or recycle clothing, your green efforts help the environment and everyone saves money.

Where? Donate and Recycle your clothing and textiles on SATURDAY, APRIL 25TH FROM 9:00AM-12PM AT THE  TOWN OF NEW PALTZ VILLAGE HALL located at 25 Plattekill Avenue in New Paltz.

What? Acceptable Items: all types of used clothing, footwear & household textiles. Items such as: shirts, pants, sheets, curtains, handbags, belts, and footwear. Any textile, even if it is worn, torn or stained can be recycled, as long as it’s clean and dry!

Non-Acceptable items: NO carpets, rugs, mattresses, bric-brac, oil rags, wet or mildewed item.

TENTATIVE BUDGET OF THE VILLAGE OF NEW PALTZ

FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2015-2016

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Tentative Budget of the Village of New Paltz for the fiscal year beginning June 1, 2014, including General Village Funds and all other funds, has been completed and filed in the office of the Village Clerk of the Village of New Paltz, 25 Plattekill Avenue, New Paltz, New York, where it is available for inspection by any interested person during office hours.

The Board of Trustees of the Village of New Paltz shall hold a Public Hearing on said Tentative Budget on April 8, 2015 at 7:30 PM, at Village Hall, 25 Plattekill Avenue, New Paltz, New York, showing such changes, alterations, and revisions as shall have been made therein by the Board of Trustees of the Village of New Paltz. At the Public Hearing, any person may be heard in favor of or against the Tentative Budget as compiled or for or against any item or items therein contained.

The following are the proposed annual salaries of the Board of Trustees of the Village of New Paltz:

Mayor                             $ 25,000.00

Deputy Mayor                 $ 8,000.00

Trustees (4)                   $  7,000.00 each

Citizens have the right to provide written and oral comments and ask questions concerning the entire budget and the relationships of entitlement funds to the entire budget.
