PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that a Special Joint Meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Village of New Paltz and the Town Board of the Town of New Paltz will be held on November 10, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. at New Paltz Village Hall, 25 Plattekill Avenue, New Paltz, N.Y.  for the purposes of discussing the possible formation of Fire Districts in the Town and Village of New Paltz, and any other lawful business of the Village and Town.

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that a Special Meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Village of New Paltz will take place on October 8, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at New Paltz Village Hall, 25 Plattekill Avenue, New Paltz N.Y. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the Proposed Neighborhood Business Residential Mixed Use Zoning Text & District Footprint, the Amendment of Local Law #8-2015 to Extend the Moratorium on the Establishment or Enlargement of all uses within the North Chestnut Street Gateway District in the Village of New Paltz through December 31, 2015 and, any other lawful business of the Village.

Village of New Paltz Public Water Supply

The Village of New Paltz in conjunction with the Ulster County Health Department are advising that the municipal water supply is once again, meeting and exceeding the standards set forth in the sanitary codes of New York State.

Therefore, the boil water notice is lifted and consumers of the Village of New Paltz may again consume/ drink the water.

Additionally the Village Board extends their gratitude to all consumers inconvenienced during this event.

2015-09-11 Water Main Break

As a result of water main breaks on Plattekill Avenue and Lookout Avenue. Water for human consumption must be boiled for a minimum of three minutes to ensure it is safe to drink until further notice.

The affected areas of Plattekill Avenue are from Main Street to Lookout Avenue and from Lookout Avenue to South Oakwood.

The Village of New Paltz Department of Public Works is working diligently to restore safe drinking water .  As soon as satisfactory samples are collected, a lifted boil water notice will be handed out to those businesses/residents affected.

Flood Resiliency on Thursday, September 17, 2015 at 7:00 pm

There will be a presentation and community meeting on New Paltz Flood Resiliency on Thursday, September 17, 2015 at 7:00 pm at New Paltz Village Hall at 25 Plattekill Avenue. Interested community members are welcome and encouraged to attend. The Village was selected among a handful of communities nationally to receive technical assistance on Flood Resilience for Riverine & Coastal Communities. Project development is being led by a technical consultant to the US Environmental Protection Agency. Also, there will be Flood Resiliency Workshop –  Friday, September 18, 2015 at 9:30 am – 4:00 New Paltz BOCES 175 Rte 32 North (Old Kingston Road) New Paltz. Reservations must be received in advance for attendance at the Friday workshop and seating is limited.
