NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

 

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that a public hearing will be held by the Board of Trustees of the Village of New Paltz on February 24, 2016, at 7:00 p.m. at Village Hall, 25 Plattekill Avenue, New Paltz, New York pursuant to the proposed amendment of Village Code section 212-13(g), declaring itself lead agency for SEQRA purposes and referring the proposed amendment to the Ulster County Planning Board in accordance with GML section 239-M and to consider the potential adverse environmental impacts of the same.

Any person is entitled to be heard upon said proposed Local Law at such Public Hearing. Copies of said proposed Local Law are available for review at:

Notice in change of Time for Meeting-2016-02-10

VILLAGE OF NEW PALTZ NOTICE

 

 

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the time of the Regular Meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Village of New Paltz shall be changed from 7:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on February 10, 2016 at 6:30 p.m. at New Paltz Village Hall, 25 Plattekill Avenue, New Paltz N.Y. It is the intention of the Board of Trustee to immediately move to go into Executive Session for the purpose of discussing personnel. The Board will exit Executive Session open the Regular Meeting at or around 7:00 p.m.

The DEC has announced that the Village of New Paltz will be awarded $246,365.00 for the Replacement of Culvert Systems.

This project will improve intermittent stream flow and movement of fish and wildlife by replacing a deteriorated culvert system with adequately-sized drainage structures at a road and rail trail crossing adjacent to the Wallkill River.  The new system also will improve the flow of floodwater, and maintain habitat connections for eel and other Species of Greatest Conservation Need (SGCN) such as wood turtle.
