New Paltz Kayaking Tours Kick-Off
June 4th 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Sojourner Truth Park
Come out and enjoy a fun filled morning at Sojourner Truth Park in New Paltz, NY. New Paltz Kayaking Tours will be hosting a community event to kick off the season and to celebrate the completion of many upgrades that are being made to the park. The upgrades include large stained picnic tables, benches along the river, and planters containing indigenous plants. A boat dock will also be available for public use. This community event will be on June 4th from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. A Ribbon cutting at 12 noon provided by the New Paltz Regional Chamber of Commerce. Kayak trips will also be available for $5. Children under 12 can ride for free with an adult. Balloons, music, free giveaways, and snacks will all be available. Come out and enjoy the completed transformation of our public park. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Tentative Budget of the Village of New Paltz for the fiscal year beginning June 1, 2016, including General Village Funds and all other funds, has been completed and filed in the office of the Village Clerk of the Village of New Paltz, 25 Plattekill Avenue, New Paltz, New York, where it is available for inspection by any interested person during office hours.
The Board of Trustees of the Village of New Paltz shall hold a Public Hearing on said Tentative Budget on April 13, 2016 at 7:00 PM, at Village Hall, 25 Plattekill Avenue, New Paltz, New York, showing such changes, alterations, and revisions as shall have been made therein by the Board of Trustees of the Village of New Paltz. At the Public Hearing, any person may be heard in favor of or against the Tentative Budget as compiled or for or against any item or items therein contained.

VILLAGE OF NEW PALTZ SPRING CLEAN UP
The Village of New Paltz will hold its annual Spring Cleanup from April 11, 2016 through April 22, 2016.
Collection for residents who live on streets north of Main Street will begin on April 11th and end on April 15th. Waste to be picked up must be out by April 11th.Collection for residents who live on streets south of Main Street will begin on April 18th and end on April 22nd. Waste to be picked up must be out by April 18th.
Village trucks will pick up bagged yard waste in biodegradable bags ONLY and brush, wood, no more than 4 tires per household, batteries, small appliances, metal, 2 mattresses per residence and furniture. Two people must be able to lift all items. Biodegradable bags can be purchased from the Village Hall for $2.00 per five pack.
The Village WILL NOT pick up any closed paint cans, tar buckets, closed metal or plastic containers containing any liquids, electronics or any household trash/garbage.

Integrating Stormwater Goals with Community Planning & Design
This program will provide an introduction to strategies for addressing stormwater
management and water quality protection goals in comprehensive plans and other aspects of
local land use policies. It is designed for professionals and other stakeholder involved in
municipal government, land use and watershed planning, community development and
revitalization, and stormwater management. This program is being presented as part of an
ongoing regional education and training initiative on water quality planning, focusing on
stormwater management priorities, opportunities for using green infrastructure for runoff
reduction and water quality restoration, and compliance with regulatory requirements for
MS4 municipalities in the mid-Hudson region of New York.
